Climate of Alonissos

The climate of Alonissos is typical mediterranean and is similar to that of other north Aegean islands, being cooler and more humid than islands in the Cyclades, for example. The winters are cool and wet, with moderate to high rainfall, while snow occcurs almost annually, at least at the higher elevations. Summers are warm and dry for prolonged periods of time. 

January is the most wet month (average monthly precipitation is 149,9mm), while July is the driest (average monthly precipitation is 21,1mm). July is also the warmest month, with an average maximum temperature of 31°C, while January is also the coldest, with an average maximum daytime temperature of 11°C. The average annual temperature on Alonissos is 17°C with average annual humidity at 67%.
